A: Not at 1st - especially if you start out by working with smaller publishers (which is what I recommend). Don't start out submitting to the big publishers - you're competitive with the most popular authors in the business. Start small. Educational publishers are nice options.

A: No! The publisher wish find an appropriate artist for you. I don't encourage collaborations with friends/relatives that are illustrators. What if the publisher likes your story but doesn't like your friend's/relative's artwork? You don't want to have to break the bad news to them.

A: I suggest you go to your local bookstore and browse the newest children's books. This is what the publishers are publication and it's what they're looking for. Compare your activity to these books.

A: Remember this: publication is a BUSINESS. Publishers want to publish fantastic books that sell well. Regardless of how fantastic your book is, if a publisher makes not think it wish sell well then that publisher wish not publish your book
